From Mussourie

Mussourie has a special place in my heart, especially the Lal Bahadur Sastri National Academy of Administration (a.k.a IAS Academy) that's here. My first visit to Mussourie was around the same time, six years back. That was the time when I was at Dehradun for my BE project. That was also the time when we were kind of shocked by the UPSC exam results - my brother had not cleared it then. So when I had come to Mussourie with my friends for sightseeing, I was more than interested in going to the IAS Academy. I wanted to see what was in the Academy, click some snaps and send them to my brother - thought it should energise him. But hardly we had kept a foot inside the campus when the sincere men in uniform did their duty. They drove us out by saying that it was a restricted area. Ultimately I had to click a snap only of the campus gates and show him.
My next trip to Mussourie was in May 2005. This time it was an exclusive visit to the Academy, no security man stopped me now. I was walking in with that year's IAS Exam topper! I did not feel like clicking snaps this time, though.
I had made two more trips to this place after that, but this present trip is the most special one. I have full rights to enter the place now...thanks to the 2007 Exam results!

"Walking in with the IAS topper"----What a proud moment. I had wanted to cut out that article from The Hindu in which Bheem's IAS story was published. Unfortunately lost it. But yes if I need to remember about Perseverance, then I remember Bheem.
